DFW International Airport Terminal Improvement and Renewal Plan (TRIP)

Ware & Associates is partnering with Manhattan Construction, Thos. S. Byrne, JRT, and 3i Construction (MBJ3) as one of two M/WBE coordinators for DFW International Airport’s Terminal Development Program.  The $2 billion project will renovate terminals A, B, C, and E over the span of 6-8 years in order to improve infrastructure, accommodate anticipated DFW-area population growth, and make DFW more competitive in the global marketplace.

MBJ3’s objective, together with the joint venture team of Balfour Beatty, Azteca, Russell, and Carcon (BARC), is to increase contracting opportunities for qualified D/M/WBE contractors, subcontractors, and vendors.  Both JV teams anticipate achieving a minimum 35% D/M/WBE subcontractor participation.  Ware’s efforts include supporting DFW Airport’s D/M/WBE policies and procedures through tracking and monitoring participation; planning outreach events and educational workshops; and notifying D/M/WBE’s as bid opportunities arise.

Renovations began in early 2011.  Currently, Ware is conducting D/M/WBE training and outreach workshops; representing the Airport, as requested, at local construction events; and raising awareness among potential contractors and vendors about the project, preparing them for future involvement.

DFW International Airport Public Affairs Supprort

During a five-year strategic alliance with Burson-Marsteller and Advertising Transcreation Services (ATS) of Dallas, Ware provided comprehensive public relations and public affairs services to the world’s third-busiest airport, Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport.  During an important expansion phase at the Airport, the Team collaborated to provide a range of services supporting the Airport Board’s public affairs and community relations activities.  Some of the services included assistance with outreach for the annual Aviation Expo, which targeted introducing high school students to aviation careers.
