Trinity River Communications Joint Venture With a vision for the future and a plan for success Tarrant Regional Water District, in partnership the Corps of Engineers and the City of Fort Worth, developed the Trinity River Vision (TRV).
Ware & Associates, Inc., collaborating with the Eppstein Group and RR Consulting, was tapped to lead communications efforts regarding the exciting TRV Project. A master plan for 88 miles of the Trinity River and its major tributaries in Fort Worth has the goal of preserving and enhancing the river and its corridors so they remain essential greenways of open space, trails, neighborhood focal points, wildlife, and special recreation areas.
Because of the firm’s expertise and success in MWBE outreach, Ware also worked to ensure minority and woman-owned businesses were aware of the contracting opportunities with this project. In addition, the agency contributed content for the TRV Update, a publication covering Trinity River Vision Authority projects as well as other project-related collaterals.

Montgomery Plaza Project (Kimco Montgomery Plaza, L.P.)
Dallas-based developer Kimco Montgomery Plaza, LP (KMP) looked to Ware & Associates for help in generating interest among minority and woman-owned Fort Worth-based certified firms in second-tier subcontracting opportunities for the redevelopment of the historic Montgomery Ward site.
Ware has a statewide reputation for successfully engaging culturally diverse audiences in the public-process. This expertise is what KMP sought to help meet or exceed the 15% MWBE participation goal set by the City Fort Worth to redevelop the historic site near its storied Cultural District.
Ware assisted the developer and its prime contracting partners, Spring Valley Construction Company, S. M. Wilson Construction (Target stores repeat-builder) and Thos. S. Bryne, Ltd., by planning and implementing a Fort Worth Certified M/WBE Plan for the project.
The Ware-created plan helped the developer set the model for and established a new compliance standard on tax abatement projects, as required by the City of Fort Worth. The plan developed accountability measures and produced verification of Fort Worth M/WBE usage to all interested parties. Informational reports created by the plan were used by City staff as an example to other firms seeking tax abatements.
In addition, the developer exceeded its stated usage of Fort Worth sub-contractors on this project.
